Verdict: : I've never experienced a hair treatment before and was very excited to try out this exciting new ceremony - it's the only one of its kind in the Kingdom.

It apparently mirrors the Japanese tea ceremony and has more in common with a beauty experience you'd get in a spa than your typical hair treatment - it's so luxurious.

First my ‘master' Malissa explained a bit about the ceremony (I had the 50 minute one but there are shorter ones to choose from) and its background, before I donned a kimono-style gown and settled back, ready to be pampered.

It was truly lovely and very relaxing.

After picking which scent appeals to you (relaxing or invigorating), the treatment starts with the application of scented oils to your hair and a wonderful 20 minute shiatsu-inspired head massage.

Next your locks are washed using an appropriate shampoo for your hair-type and then the treatment is applied.

I was then given a relaxing neck, shoulder and arm massage, before my hair was rinsed again and then styled.

The whole process left me feeling very chilled out and relaxed, plus my hair was so shiny that people commented on it for the next few days.

Malissa was great - very professional and she explained exactly what she was doing at each stage. This is definitely worth splashing out on.
